You lose something in a war even when you win the overall battle.
So far any effort to de-escalate this war in Ukraine is thwarted, but hopefully the peacemakers will eventually succeed.
I came across this article that mentions how precise himars rockets are.
HIMARS is an acronym for High Mobility Artillery Rocket System.
That is in the English language.
But, sir that sounds like a plural form of HIMAR in Arabic. And, himar just happens to mean donkey.
In this case we are dealing with an English word that does not have the right connotation in the Arabic language. I can only wonder what it can possibly mean in other languages.
Another word that shocked me in the way it was used is al-qaeda.
In Arabic, it means “a very aged woman who has no hope or no desire of getting married”.
That what it means when it is used as a reference to human beings.
Al-qaeda is from the root word ‘qaada’ which means to sit.
Hence, it can also be used as a reference to other than humans. In that case it means a rule.
But, why has it been twisted so much when it was made to migrate to the English language?
We are living in a time where the fabric of language is intentionally being destroyed.
He is she and she is he or even neither he nor she.
Plural is singular and singular is plural.
The criminal is the victim and the victim is the criminal.
A criminal kills another person and accuses the diseased of criminality.
An evildoer inflicts all kinds of abominations on their enemy and then tries to convince us of their uprightness in the name of religion or anti-religion.
I hope you strive for peace.
